When people are afraid to ask me to do work.
I guess not putting up with their crap when I was in charge actually paid off.
Now they are all very curteous when they ask me, or they just don't bother me.
I brewed a 5 gallon batch of what is to be known as 'Cassa-Beer' from here on in. It is a cassarole brew, made with the leftover grains and hops from other brews. Even the Yeast was a leftover. I had the whole thing done and cleaned up in about 3 hours flat. The 10 gallons from the other day took somewhere around 6-7 hours to finish. Of course it was a higher grade recipe too. This should be consumable just in time for March.
I got a e-mail from an X-ray traveller's company with lots of good looking promises, and it got me to thinking about being a traveller again. Which might be a good idea. The Brew Master program at UC Davis is only in the winter session, it started January 25th, so I have a year untill the next one. Which is good, I won't have any conflicts with faire. But it opens things up a bit. I could get a job as a traveller, maybe look into the cheap housing I keep seeing for sale in the South Bay and pass the year awaiting Beer College.
The only trouble with making decisions is the oppourtunities that might be missed as a result. Of course owning property, a job with variety and new stuff to learn (I think that this is important to my job satisfaction, if I have nothing new available, then I start to feel dissatisfied at work), and instruction on how to do the thing I want (and like) to do.
It all bears further thought and research, but for now it is a nice thought for the future.
