I found myself wondering, how did I blow 100 quid so fast? Then I realized I had spent 30 at that Thai place that is a little out of my normal price range and I had another 35 quid sitting on my window shelf stacked into neat little piles so whenever I want to go do laundry I can scoop up the precise change I need for the machines.
I got tired of having trouble researching the romantic script I'll be writing for my class final project. At the university library everything is too academic; I can talk a good line about cultural social implications, but advice about how to write the stuff? Not so much. So I went to the city public library and sure enough found a how to book about romance writing and took a bunch of notes.
