I thought that now felt like a cozy time to update.

I'm sitting here with a cup of tea and a raisin bread toast. Yum. Mum bought these cute, little white cup and saucers so I'm sampling them and to tell you the funny truth, the tea tastes all the more better.

Its 11:08PM and about an hour ago we all got back from the little ones eisteddfod in the ( Read more... )

I think your icon is sweet, where is it from?

An eisteddfod is like a singing competition kind of.
Choirs enter themselves into it, and there is 1st 2nd and 3rd prizes in each category [like it could be poetry etc and they have like under 5's and under 12yr olds etc]. And basically its just to get the young ones confident with performing in front of audiences, and they get marks and comments, so that the teacher and the students can see where they might need to improve or touch up etc.

Its a good experience.

ooh, that really sounds cool!

That particular picture is a publicity shot for one of the famous "Bogart-Bacall" movies. I think it's from one of my favorites "To Have and Have Not". Over the past few years, I've become quite the Humphrey Bogart fan. :) *hugs*

I was wondering where I'd seen the guy in the picture from. :) Apparently Bogart was opposite to his roll in "Sabrina" (with Audrey Hepburn) and was quite a playboy.

Yes, he regrettably went through a few awful divorces, and met Lauren Bacall when he was like 40 something, and they were happily married for 12 years, until he died of cancer. The movies he made with her are his best, in my opionion.

So were they married when they were acting together or married after?
That's sooo sweet.

They were married shortly after filming their first movie. I know, they're like my favorite Hollywood romance. ;)
