(no subject)
So...it's 11:13 pm now, and I haven't left work yet. Not because we are worked particularly hard, but rather because TOPP's "happy hour", which started at 6 pm (we start at 10 am) hasn't ended yet. A new discovery: Calimocho ("Kalimotzo"), introduced by a coworker who lived in France for four years.
My initial project is UI work on something that amounts to Wikimaps. More on this later. The subject matter isn't exactly my cup of tea, but the technical aspect is actually exactly the sort of thing that I'm sort of qualified to do (after last summer's totally fluky UI work). So my main concern of being not qualified has basicly dematerialized, for now.
I've got some great coworkers. Also, the anti-corporate/social mission of this place is great. More on this later, but I think I need to talk about some other ideas first. Soon I should go home.
