I enjoyed and admired it so much that I couldn’t resist taking notes for a huge comment while reading - something I rarely do anymore, particularly if the writer is anonymous. Thank you for commenting!
I loved "Prisoner's Remorse"; it's really one of the best stories in that fest so far (along with my own gift, lucky for me). And I'm a fan of just about everything mindabbles writes. So I'll definitely check out "Exhibit A," too -- we cleary have similar tastes /g/ Thanks for the recs.
So you’ve read also actual Remus/Sirius slash by mindabbles? “Exhibit A” is one of the fics which have recently forced me to admit that an outsider’s perpective can be truly enthralling. And you are welcome! I’ve found so much wonderful fic thanks to you that I’m happy to finally rec something, too - and while I hope to rec more femmeslash (without Remus, too) someday, I’m afraid that at the moment I could rec only fic written or recced by you.
*looks around shiftily* Actually, I haven't read mindabbles's slash yet; just her excellent femmeslash and at least one really good Marauders fic. But I can't imagine I won't love her R/S.
Well, I learnt to know her as an R/S writer, but she’s evidently a lot more than that, and I’m the last person to expect anyone to read all fics (of all types) by a favourite writer either. For rs_games she wrote NC-17 m/m with various pairings - and I think I’d now rather find more femmeslash by her - or that Marauders fic, which I might not have read.
didn't like the first one. i don't know if we were supposed to feel bad for r/s or not, but i sure as hell didn't. i was disappointed they got off free. and it reeked of tonks-bashing besides. i'm pretty sure i know who the author is, and i love her, but this fic of hers just didn't sit well with me.
Well, I always assume (at least in the case of a more complex or unusual fic) that we are not “supposed” to feel this or that. It does not bother me if I end up disappointed with what happens to the characters, or if I’m disturbed by the narrator’s attitude. This story could seen as Sirius-bashing or Remus-bashing as well, but the viewpoint character is partial, I admit. I’ve been wondering whether the author really is the one whose AUs (some disturbing ones, too) I’ve found irresistible before, too. I must have read this one partly because on day one I was still determined to somehow follow the games, but while I watch the community, no other fic has caught my interest in the same way.
Thank you so much for reading my rec entry and for commenting with your honest opinion.

I'm up late writing, and now nosing into my flist's posts while on a coffee break, apparently. But to this point you make about rs_games fics catching one's eye, may I suggest Common Woodbrown? I won't make any presumptions whether the AU facets of this will be to your taste, but the writing is biblically good. On that basis, I am recommending it to you :).
Thank you so much! This is exactly what I need: biblically good writing recced to me. On the basis of these R/S summaries it’s seemed to be unusually hard pick what to give a try to. I’ve now found this fic and got it bookmarked. The only problem is that it’s awfully long. (I still haven’t finished reading a single fic in Big Bang Blackout.) As I say above, the AU facets don’t actually have to be to my taste, and I can appreciate anything excellently-written (in my slow way) as long as there isn’t (too much focus on) graphic sex with males involved.
Thank you so much for the beautiful rec! Your praise is so lovely and means so much to me. I know the higher ratings are not usually your cup of tea, so thank especially for giving this a try. I am so happy that you enjoyed the fic. I'll respond properly to your lovely comment soon--I am just getting over strep throat and the brain is a bit fuzzy yet.
Oh, you’re welcome: I’ve only said what your writing deserves. The opening was just so exquisite that had to read on. And now I’ve figured out that I can enjoy explicit sex scenes as long as there are no males involved - at least when the language is brilliant like yours. I must look for more femmeslash by you. I hope you’ll feel well and unfuzzy soon (but there’s no hurry with the comment reply).
