I always read (and write - my rec entries, too) slowly and unfortunately still so little that I doubt I’m ready to branch out much in my rec entries: I’m still reccing only fics which feature Remus. These three stories have been recently recced elsewhere, too. But I actually read them before seeing the recs, one of them first as early as in April, so here I’m adding my belated recs to the piles. I can’t help being proud that for once (or twice) I’ve found excellent fic when doing what I should obviously do more often: giving a chance to a story posted anonymously.
Each of these fics includes Remus/Sirius at least in the background. But one is Alice-cenric and another one at least as much about Grindelwald and Dumbledore as about Remus.

Remus/Sirius yes, but truly exceptional.
Non-magical AU, and a very unusual viewpoint character, whose nature serves the surprising story more and more excellently. This is beautiful, real, evocative: makes me love these men just as I love the most compelling canon-compliant Remus and Sirius. Besides, fascinating in its uniqueness, brilliant in its structure and every detail. And thought-provoking, even disturbing as I catch myself questioning the behaviour of these characters - as well as becoming weirdly fond of the yellow bedspread I’m fortunate to happen to own...

lgbtfest (R; Alice/Dorcas, Alice/Frank, Alice/Lily, Remus/Sirius, Lily/James)
This piece of fiction is just perfection.
Everything in it is beautiful and essential, excellently-written and poignant. The immediacy in the vibrant, well-weighed scenes takes us right there to learn to know who this (unique, compelling) Alice is (together with her, as she’s stuggling with her identity and above all, for acceptance for it). A complex, completely real world is crafted masterfully around (and also in) the more intimate moments. There’s everything: an original take on magical people outside those educated at Hogwarts, lgbt politics, war, beautiful het and, above all, femmeslash intimacy, as well as a heartwarming glimpse of my OTP.
The Prisoner’s Remorse by anonymous in
ownficfest (PG-13; Remus Lupin, Gellert Grindelwald; implied Remus/Sirius and Dumbledore/Grindelwald)
I can hardly believe that something this wonderful is true:
someone, and a brilliant writer, too, has told the single story inspired by post-OotP canon I’ve longed to read - Dumbledore and Grindelwald’s - and done it by using my OTC's perspective. No, not by using him, but by doing perfect justice to the potential of his tragic situation in the aftermath of Halloween 1981. This is an unforgettable, enviably excellent take on all these characters and on the conflicts in the magical world.
