Thanksgiving - day after

Nov 28, 2008 05:31

Yesterday was long, but fun. Mike still can't believe I asked him to marry me. His family was pleased and shocked.

He had asked me, earlier in the day, if we would just wear bands. I was a little quiet, not knowing what to say. Later, his sister-in-law, Carol, was asking me to take my ring off. She was measuring my finger for a ring. She is a very outspoken person. I am sure she told Mike he has to get me a ring. She will assist, I am sure.

The dinner at Kaley's was awesome. Joely fried the turkey that I bought over. Kaley made green bean casserole, stuffing (I don't think I had any). Joely made a cold salad containing cukes, onion and tomatoes. That really added something nice to it. Oh, Kaley made mashed potatoes. They were yummy.

It's Black Friday. Mike and Bob are going riding this morning after breakfast. I can't decide whether to go or not...to breakfast, not riding today I will ride with them tomorrow.

I really need to straighten up this place. It's full of crap on the floor. I will use my grabber to help me pick up stuff off the floor.

I had fun playing with the kids yesterday. We were calling each other names. I was saying stuff like, "Spongebob Square Head." The kids would laugh. Then they were in a line, calling me names and vice versa. Renee, Cory's 7-year old, said, "Asshole." I pulled her back and said, "We shouldn't say that word. Let's pick another." I didn't want to embarrass her. She is so cute.
