Yesterday, Today.

Yesterday was a good day.

I woke up early and anxious to start the day. Upon downing a pot of coffee I then called Blake so him and I could into North Austin to visit Briana and her 2 year old son Payton.
On the way though we mad a pit stop by HEB Plus so I could pick up a few things for a picnic in the park that Briana and I had planned on having for quite a while that we were now finally going to have. I also went ahead a picked up some peachy rings for Briana since her and I share a long history and love for peachy rings and a really cool kite (not one of those plastic ones) for Payton so him and I could fly it. Now, i've only seen Payton once and that was when he was just a baby and at the time he was taking a nap so all I saw of him was him sound asleep in his crib. But now he's walking and talking, and ever so the sweetest little boy. He was shy at first but it didn't take him long for him to come out of his shell and instantly him and I hit if off. So much so, that poor Briana and Blake were left in our shaddows as we talked it up and collectively gave one another many, many warm hugs. After we ate we headed back to Briana's house before walking over to the soccar field so we could fly our kite and unfortunately the wind was not in our favor as all of us took turns struggling to get the kite off the ground and into the air. At one point I just held Payton close to me as I ran and he held a firm grip on the kite string, giggling all the way. As the sun begun to down gown, we headed back to Briana's house where we just sat around an caught up on what's been going on with one another and I even got to meet, for the first time Briana's sister, Amy. Who is also her roommate and equally a good aunt among other things, such as a good host to Blake and I. All in all, it was great. I'm quite smitten by this lit'l boy right now and cannot wait until I can see both him and Briana again.

Afterwards, Blake and I headed to Half-Priced Books. Where I found a rare Cure album that had both the Seventeen Seconds and Faith albums on it. Although, I failed to notice the cost of this rare artifact was a mear 60 bucks! So, I had to forfeit that purchase but I did find Yaz's "You & Me Both" on record and prior to then only owned a few of the 12 inch singles of a few of the songs off that album.

We soon left to head over to Sara's place where we only stayed for a short while, long enough to see the highlights of Sara karaoke performance of "Precious Things" (which btw kiddo, was way cool!). We then left her place to head over to the Canary Hut where I finally got meet her friend Karin, who I heard a lot about (mainly just her taste in music) and Ginger in Michael. Ginger doing Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" was a unexpected suprise to say the least but getting to see both Sara and Blake do thier karaoke thing again was the best part of that evening. Both of them being supurbly talented with articulate and entertaining vocalists.
