social gathering

My evening in these few days have been busy, all booked up by friends for social gathering. Not that i mind (as usually i have no life) but it is definitely tiring!

Sunday: I finally met up with Thai bloggers that i talked to for almost a year or two. It was great to actually meet in person and they are exactly like the person in their blogs (means they arent fake, u know). I was an early bird so i went shopping first. Bought myself a white shirt and jeans from Next and the sale person imformed that i would get 20% off if i buy 3 pieces. So being a nice daughter, i bought a ring for mum also. Looked around a few places. Nothing good at Zara, got all good stuff from Massimo Dutti already so i just waited. Nok and Moo then arrived. We went to have Thai style Suki (steamboat more like) and then Preaw joined us. We ended our perfect evening with ice cream fondue at Haagen Daz. It's sooooo expensive, almost 10 quids for it, but i tell ya what, it's WORTH IT! Everything is nice and tasty and oh god, good stuff!!!!! Then it was time to disintegrate, i was gonna buy mum stuffs from MOS burger but the queue was too long. How i wish they have more branches so we dun have to wait!

Monday: I was informed that i will go to Chiangmai, accompanying IPPF president on her visit. Humph, good thing is that 1) Hotel we'll stay is very nice, Holiday Inn 2) It's free of course but i could imagine that i would have to follow her everywhere especially during the shopping time which i dread! So anyway, that evening i planned to meet up with P'Jar and David who was in Thailand for their honeymoon. I was early (as usual) and was so sleepy so i ordered English Breakfast tea. It didnt help me AT ALL. Finally the newly wed couple arrived, we chatted at the hotel for a bit, talking about their trips down south, i was glad that they had a great time. Then we headed for seafood restaurant nearby and OMG, why so cheap dude!?!?!??! We ordered so much food that three of us couldnt finish and it costed like 20 quids!!!!! Man, i love that place (minus a loud and drunk woman who i suspect that she is a hooker). P'Jar and David were so kind to treat me that evening so i decided to repay them by driving them to the airport (which they decided to repay me again by inviting me to stay at their home in Edinburgh and will send me Darjeeling tea leaves - i guess we could never finish repaying eachother!). They are such a lovely couple ><

Tuesday: appointment with the 2 Britons, Rob and Thetis. Me and Thetis texted back and forth and eventually came out with the time and place to meet. I picked them up at Kaosan Road. Damn it's been a while since i last went there! I remember all the wild years i have of going to Kaosan for clubbing and/or checking men out *LOL* I dun like it; it's still the same really but it's me who have changed. I went straight to McDonald's coz i was starving at that point (an hour on the road could damage my tummy so much!). I ate chicken nuggets and watched the people come and go. Then my tourists arrived! Thetis had her hair braiding and Rob with burned nose -- they are so tourist-sy! LOL I then drove them back to my house. Met up with my parents, my sister and my uncle. It was a really nice dinner with the annoying bit as usual (me dad wanted to translate not funny jokes and politics talk and my sister asked them for emails again -- dejavu?!). It was good that both parties did not mention anything that shouldn't be "MENTION" (i.e. who i lived with in Birmingham and Josh - lol).  I drove them back to where they stayed before leaving to Hong Kong next day. It was a bit sad for me to see people go u know. I'm not very good at this and i guess i will never be. I want to see and be with all my friends. Which we could live in the same city, same countries *sigh*

The appointment for tonight is dinner with MM at our fave restaurant, Fabio's. Italian food here we come!

meeting, friends
