So, I had an interesting experience at work on Monday. Sometimes one of our clients like us to do an unannounced stocktake at various locations, just to see if shops are doing thing right and nothing dodgy is going on. As you can imagine, things can get a little tense sometimes. Some shops threaten to throw us out and get all shitty, but most are ok with it.
However, Monday was a different story. Last week, this shop had an unannounced stocktake organised, but they were actually thrown out of the shop. Like I said, this doesn't usually happen. So the client organised ANOTHER one this week and they were determined to do it, because some funny business was going on there. We walked in with the District manager of this shop (Who actually works for the company) and as soon as we did the kid behind the counter start yelling at us. "YOU CAN'T BE HERE. YOU CAN'T DO THIS!! GET OUT OF MY SHOP!"
More yelling occurred and we didn't leave. We started setting up while the DM and the kid behind the counter had a yelling match. Finally he called the police. Within 5 mins, the police were walking in and I was getting a little nervous. The dude was yelling at me to stop counting and now the police had come in, eying us off. It was a little unsettling. So one of the cops calmed the kid down and the other talked to the DM. The DM explained to him that we had every right to be here doing it and if the kid kicked us out, his boss would lose his shop. He persisted with the kicking out thing, so eventually we just left until some paperwork was brought proven that we had every right to be there.
He eventually let us back in after seeing the paperwork and things were ok for a while, until we need to get in the back storage. Apparently the only person who had the key was the manager. The manager isn't in the country. Knowing full well the people at the shop had a key to get in there, more yelling started. It ended in the DM calling a locksmith to BRAKE INTO the storage area. This was fun. He totally broke the deadlock and it a small victory when we finally got in there. What was in there?
POOOOOOOOOORRRNNNNNNN
SEEEEXXXXXX TOOOOOOOYYYYYYYSSSSSS
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Totally BUSTED!
So I don't know how much longer the guy is going to have his shop for. It was a very interesting day.
In other news. The dudes I work with have offered me a job in Melbourne, well actually any capital city. They don't want me to go. It's a tricky one... I haven't heard from the crazy clarks and I'm not too sure if I want to. I'm pretty over stocktaking, but I'd like to go to Melbourne for a while. If it was a different job in Melbourne maybe... Like the Crazy Clarks job in Melbourne. That'd be cool. For a while, until I got another job. pfft... My life is totally centred around what 'job' i'm going to do next year. Screw it.
Apart from that, I think this'll be the last stint for me at the Cave. It'll be 2 years here at the end of the lease. That's pretty bloody long. Man, this house has had it all, except for a truly BITCHIN party. So......
Party at ours soon.
Come Mexican, or bring Corona's. Whatever.
OH, Me, Lee, Craig and Charlie went to see the AirBus the other day. Craig wanted to make love to it.
