it's today it's today!
Awake mega-early again today. Granted, I also went to sleep mega early. Saturday nights sorta suck because we never do anything. Even when we ARE watching a movie/TV together, I always get the impression that Joe is just waiting for me to go to bed so that he can play video games. Last night, I did the dishes then called my mom, so he started watching the Transformers. I did not like that movie when we went to see it in the theater. I still do not like that movie. Rather than bitching and moaning about it, I went to bed. Around 9:30pm. Now I'm awake. My computer says it's 7:01am, but I've actually been awake for about 45 minutes. At least next Saturday we're going to see Blue Man Group so it won't suck so bad.
My graduation party is today! Joe called my brother last night and asked if he could come. I realized last night that the only other guy there will be Jackie's husband, Ryan, and Joe hates Ryan. Well, that's not entirely true. Joe think Ryan is a super-boring and uncool person. Primarily, this is because Ryan has a Wii, not an Xbox, so they cannot talk about video games. Ryan is also not really too into sports. Mind you, from conversations with Jackie, Ryan and Joe are basically the same person in all other aspects - sticklers for routines, picky eaters, laid back personalities, etc. In reality, I think it's that Joe doesn't WANT to be friends/acquaintances with Ryan. He used to work with Jackie, but introduced us so that I could have a female friend who wasn't a bitch. Since it actually worked - and since, judging by today's guest list, I only have a few friends to start with - I think Joe is avoiding getting to close to either of them so that she can remain strictly *my* friend without him interfering. Or something like that.
At any rate, I'm super excited for today! I have to call Josh around 11 to see if he'll be able to come (he has a 10 page paper due tomorrow that he started yesterday), but then we're leaving around noon-ish. The party starts at 1 but I need to be there before everybody else starts coming. I know how to get to Natascha's house but I usually use my GPS because a couple of the turns come up pretty quick and there aren't really any landmarks. Apparently, my GPS is broken. My cigarette lighter needs a new fuse (that Joe has been promising to fix for 2 weeks. whatevs.) so that the car power cord can work, so I brought it upstairs to charge it with the AC adapter. I only need it to get to her house anyway. I plugged it in around 8pm. When it's plugged in, the screen turns on with some kind of graphic that tells you it's charging. It didn't, but I didn't think anything of it right away because I thought that maybe the battery was just so dead it couldn't turn on until it got some juice. When I woke up this morning, it was still off. I couldn't remember if it automatically turns off after a certain time, so I tried to turn it on. Nothing. When you leave something plugged in for that long, it normally feels hot or warm to the touch from the electricity. Cool as a cucumber. It was a pretty shitty, no-name GPS anyway, but it friggin got me places! Hopefully Joe will get the correct fuses tomorrow because as long as it will work while it's plugged in in the car then I don't particularly care if I can't charge it in the house. Printing directions now and hoping that I can find my way there by myself. I have a terrible sense of direction.
