I kept meaning to do this, and getting distracted by work or packing or something. Anyway, it was terrific -- long, but interesting. Funny (except for one joke at the beginning that apparently nobody got, including me), not irreverent, and the food was fantastic. Duncan turned in his final, signed-off Eagle Binder tonight -- this means it's been accepted by the District and will be sent to National. (National apparently rejects about 1 in a thousand applications, so we feel pretty safe ( Read more... )

Duncan got signoff today from the Community Center Board on his project; it's part of the paperwork that the people for whom the project is done formally accept it. It was a fabulous relief. A major step forward. And he's arranged several more signoffs in the next 2 days so that he can have his District Honcho signoff on Tuesday night.

Duncan got a critical signoff yesterday for his Eagle project, from the chair of the Rescue Community Center, which is where he'll be doing his work. He also got from the man the names of wholesalers for most of his supplies, and the guy, who is a general contractor, says he'll help Duncan get the supplies if the wholesalers don't respond to Duncan ( Read more... )
