Still plugging along!
And still very happy in the new job. Short update:
I've been in two days of all-day meetings this week -- New Hire Orientation (no surprises there, altho the benefits package is very rich), and the regular meeting of my team, which was very good as it let me meet everyone and interact with them on a longer basis. We were reviewing the privacy policy re-write, so it was a great meeting to help me get my feet under me.
cnewsonsmith and I took the key rings given my by sichling & co (Blessed be their names!) over there, and I couldn't get in the unit -- the bright-shiny door knob lock wouldn't yield to any of the keys. Literally, none of them would go in, and we both tried all the keys. I'm really glad to have discovered this now, and not when I arrived with a load of belongings!!! I've sent email to the landlord; if I don't hear from him soon, I'll call him. We had a nice dinner out, tho, even with the irritation of this issue.
People are starting to RSVP for the Eagle Court of Honor this weekend. Mild Panic ensuing!
Need to scamper to the shower. Really critical meeting at 9.
