So sorry to hear it. Wishing thoughts of comfort to you, and virtual hugs.

;-). Hugs & comfort are good. And not just for me, but also for the folks in England, kids who last their mom and grandmom, and Doug, who lost his partner of 40 years...

I was actually thinking of you last night, and thinking of how hard it is to lose someone in the spring, as the year starts to grow...

Thanks. Saturday was the first anniversary of Mother's passing. I will probably always think of her when I see the forsythia bursting out.

Dogwoods, for me, because my mom loved them so much. Forsythia is something I want to find a place to plant on my property; they are so energetic. Take care.

So sad! starshineway April 23 2007, 12:27:15 UTC
Especially after the hope from the apparent improvement. All you can do now is to try to remember her at her best. Hugs!

We have wonderful memories of her, as you can see from my sister's entry down below. I'm wondering if her friends in England are starting a memory book...? I'll call one of them tomorrow or so.

Hugs back. That's the way it happened with my Mom, too. (Only about 5 years earlier in my life than Cindy's kids, actually.) Mom was awake and laughing and prepped to go home in a day or so, and then she threw a blood clot. Afterward, they found that her cancer had spread to the spine and brain, so it was better.

Cathie said today that she realized how hard it must be to over here... which I thought was so thoughtful of her...

Thank you... My cats have been hanging around D & I all day, and last night when I was waiting they kept clustering around my feet.
