I have, for a while, been thinking of putting a message on the phone to the Boy Scouts who call Duncan here; as you would expect, they're wrong about half the time. I get the message, need to call Duncan back to pass it along, etc ( Read more... )

Why not state there is no refrigerator available for the second sentence? Then "Should you not be a Boy Scout, press the # sign now." and continue as before.

That's assuming that D only expects Scouts to call him, of course.

The fridge idea is good. In fact, it sounds good altogether. Once Duncan has a chance to comment, I'll bring this up to him.

Er, even with the typed version, I'm not sure what you are trying to say in the message. You don't have a used refrigerator and Scouts should not call Duncan? Sorry.

I fixed it: YOu've got us, if you're trying to buy a fridge this is the wrong number, if you're a Boy Scout there are special instructions, and if you want to skip right to the recording press #, and then the rest of the instructions after the #. Does that help?
