Drake is at the vet's for the night -- with errands and "Mom's Cab" and other critical things (like getting to the bank) I couldn't get there before they closed, and also because he seemed really weak during the morning. They told me to call about 5 PM for an update; as of that time there was no news. I know the thyroid function blood test had to be sent out, but I'm not sure why doing a urine stick (that little strip of paper they dip in the urine to determine proteins and sugar levels) couldn't be reported out, but... who knows?
The other cats have been nagging me and looking for him, and so I've been trying to be as sweet to them as I can.
Duncan had a fairly nasty asthma attack just before bedtime (I think air quality and heat today brought it on, as I've been wheezing a lot, too), and we finally got him to sleep about 11:45. What an ugly day it will be for him tomorrow at band camp! However, he and the other Drum major/Auxilliary leaders are planning a water-balloon drill down (sort of a "mother may I?" combined with that game where you have to remember all the sentences in a row) to celebrate the last day of marching before School starts on Monday.
And Duncan taught me how to make a new kind of quilting star. Hows' about that? ;-)
