Mom is not feeling well (no it's not the swine flu) so I'm home today since she needs someone to fetch food and the ice bag.  She also wasn't feeling up to dealing with the plumber who's been scheduled to be here today to replace just about everything connected to the tub.  I dared not postpone that since it takes weeks to reschedule.  ( Read more... )

I just booked first class tickets to and from Los Angeles for The Gathering of the Gargoyles in August.  Yay, frequent flier miles!  Yay for free flights!  Yay for big leather seats and free booze not being asked to bend over and open my wallet for a checked bag!

Nothing lasts forever, and that includes vacation.  Time to get used to writing "2009" on everything.

I'm back.  Just walked in the door a few minutes ago.  Trees that had all their leaves on Saturday morning are now nearly bare.  Apparently autumn lasted three days and I missed it.  Need a shower and a nap.  More later on the trip and Cindy's wedding.

I'm here!  After only a five hour flight to L.A., and three hours more driving down with a stop for lunch on the way.  Holy crap, McDonalds has hamburgers that look like real hamburgers now.  Mmm, Angus mushroom and swiss... (Homer Simpson drool sound).
