Something uncommon happened last night during CNN's non-stop, redundant coverage of the crash of Air Asia Flight 8501.
As is always the case with such tragedies, the coverage featured interviews of a parade of so-called experts who speculated, guessed, supposed and made claims about the causes of the crash. Last night, though, the anchor of the coverage asked one of the experts (I wish I could remember his name) if the severe weather in the crash area could have been a factor in the crash.
His reply: He didn't have enough information about the weather, so he really couldn't make an informed decision.
There's a first in the world of TV talking heads-somebody saying, in essence, "I don't know."
