Maggie update
Little Maggie came through her surgery just fine. Thank you for those who sent good vibes our way, we all appreciate it.
As I mentioned before, they had to postpone the operation to Friday morning, because the blood analysis equipment in the office was down, and they had to send it out to another lab.
So, Friday afternoon, Mike came down to go pick her up with us. She was so thrilled to see him -- there she was, still somewhat sedated, wagging her tail like mad at him. :) It was very cute.
Mom and I are taking "shifts" keeping watch over her (so the other can sleep, eat, or, in my case, update an online journal), but most of the time, it's both of us at once.
She gets pain medication every morning, and antibiotics twice a day. She's being a very good girl about that.
Healing is a process, of course, but she appears to be doing quite well, all things considered.
