So, I went out to get the wigs and costumes I didn't have yet...
On the way, I walked past the street I grew up on, and had the urge to visit my former next door neighbor, Marie. So, I did. :) She was standing outside when I got there... and she didn't recognize me at first. I weighed roughly 50 pounds more last time she saw me, my hair was completely different, etc. We hung out for a couple of hours (good times), then I had to get going on my bus downtown to shop.
So, I went to Cheap Thrills first, and got a bright purple wig for the Taboo and We Will Rock You segments. Oh, and a bracelet (like a cuff thing with mini spikes).
Next, I was off to Prevues (yes, it's spelled that way), where I got my "flapper" dress for the Charleston number ('Happy'), new fishnet stockings that I liked better than mine (these are pink and black, like, interwoven - tres cool), stockings like they wore in the 20s (with the black seam up the back - yeah, those), and an extra long 20s-type beaded necklace.
That's pretty much all I need for the show, apart from possibly another wig for general times like Gospel, intermission, and formal. My real hair gets far too stressed doing the show (as I found out the hard way last year), so I am doing wigs from now on. :)
So, then I walked 16 blocks to the mall to go to Sam Goody, and they didn't even have the CDs I wanted. *sigh* So, while I was there, I went to the food court and had a rice bowl (I hadn't eaten since like, 9am, and this was 5:30). Then, I went home. Wow, exciting, huh? ;)
The only drawback is my legs are killing, and my feet are swollen (hence the ouch in the subject line). I also feel cruddy in general. blah. I let myself get dehydrated out there today, so it's my own fault.
