I love everything about this: The slow crawl towards Anakin's eventual crash, the concern of the characters on the peripheral, the ENDING OMG. Cross-post this and let people bask in its glory, woman. ♥

I cross-posted it to a few places. :) I'm really glad you liked it. I was hoping it wasn't too like after-school special or something. I also wasn't sure about adding a scene with Padme or a follow-up with Ahsoka, but I guess that's what comment-stories are for ( ... )

I like this; Padme using Anakin's arguments against him, and her last-ditch "Okay, sorry, Master Kenobi, but he's being a shitface, can you do something?" effort to bring him around. Reminds me of the Planet X comic; Xorn's all "I can quit anytime I want, Charles, STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT" and Charles is like floating and staring at him ~judgingly~.

Padme is a ~senator~; she's very good at using peoples' arguments against them (especially Anakin's). Obi-Wan's all like *sigh* and doesn't even bother to ask why Padme knows something's going on.

Ahsoka couldn't even bring herself to say goodbye. It wasn't the Jedi way to mourn, but she couldn't help feeling like something had been ripped away from her as she stood in the middle of the Council chambers and was told that she would no longer be Anakin Skywalker's Padawan.

She'd wanted to argue. Wanted to tell them that as long as Anakin knew what he'd done wrong, and got the help he needed, he was no more a danger to her Jedi training than anyone else. But in her heart, she knew it was a lie. The vision she'd had on Mortis kept replaying in her head - You may never see your future if you remain his student - over and over ( ... )

Ohh, poor Anakin!

Also, I loved how you tied it up with the canon. Totally unexpected (at least, to me lol) and brilliant.

:D I'm so glad you liked it! I'm always kind of thinking of how the gap is going to be bridged between the series and the movie; this kind of just... worked.

I think the theme of my hurt/comfort bingo game is just going to be "Well, damn Anakin."
