Reward Time: Reading for fun

Aug 06, 2011 20:54

Reward time. I finished revising rewriting a manuscript which has rested for quite some time. It wasn’t an easy rewrite. It involved cutting a pov and scenes that I loved. Now, I’m down to tweaking and waiting for critiques to come back-which means it’s time to be good to myself.

Here’s the reward(s) which will be landing in my mailbox any day.

I’ve heard good things about Mandy Hubbard’s RIPPLE. Look closely at the cover, behind the girl's knees. The girl’s legs have scales-and I used to worry about leg hair as a teen.

FINDER by Terri-Lynne DeFino. This one goes without saying. I’ve wanted to read this since it came out. Well, actually way before that.

Lastly, I'm getting an ARC of  IN THE FOREST OF THE NIGHT by Kersten Hamilton. I loved TYGER, TYGER which was the first book in the Goblin Wars Series and have been itching to read this one.

(and I have another used DARK SHADOWS book-total junk reading sinfulness)

What's on your reading list?  Is it just for fun--or are you reading to study a specific aspect of writing?

arc, rewards, reading
