Temple students...

No, let's make that all students who "strive" for perfection because they can not think on their own and their parents do all the thinking for them. Yeah, you know what students I'm talking about. It's the student that is always 5 minutes early for class and always the last one to walk out. It's the student that no matter how many chairs are available in the back, they will always crawl to the front of the classroom to place themselves neatly in front of the teacher. It's the student who reminds the teacher that they had an essay to write just to look like the good samaritan and score "brownie" points.
How gay can one person be? Do you understand that teachers really do not care about class participation and how gay one person can be for their class? Teachers deal with more than 30 students a year. Some teachers have lecture hall-type classrooms in which they teach a room of about 200 students. Unless you make a special mark on the teacher like save their kids from a burning house or marry their daughter, they will forget you in two semesters tops.
In most syllabi that I get, every teacher places that emphasis on "attendance" and "class participation". They always say that to get a good grade in the class, you need to make sure you participate and join in the discussion. I venture to say that is the biggest load of horseshit ever. In my years at Temple (three to be exact), I have never been graded higher for participating and attending class. In fact, my first semester I went to every class, participated, and all that jazz and ended up with a 3.2 GPA. The last semester, I missed every other Thursday, slept in the back of the class, and did no work and got a 3.6 GPA. Now, don't take my little anecdote to heart, for not everyone is as intelligent as me, but I am trying to show that sitting in front of the teacher to let him/her know that you are truly a workaholic doesn't help. All it does is prove to your classmates and teacher that you are a fledging anal pirate in dire need of some love.
