Writer's block, sort of.

So, this WAS going to be my answer for today's Writer's Block question ("Starstruck:  Have you ever met a famous person?"), but lately whenever I try to answer the questions it just comes up with my name and a blank entry.  I've emailed LJ tech support about it, and they've done exactly nothing.  I'm actually quite pissed off about being excluded from something that is supposed to be available to all users, and if I had a paid/plus account, I'd be causing some very serious trouble about it. Anyhoo, here's what I wrote:

Yes, I met Fiona Horne at a book signing about ten years ago.  She was lovely, very intelligent and funny (not sure what happened since then, every time I've seen her on TV she seemed ignorant and arrogant).

I met Marcia Hines when she was here for a promotional tour, I was working on the university radio station and went with my supervisor to interview her.  She's such a sweetheart, doesn't act at all like a celebrity, and has the most wonderful laugh I've ever heard.

Kirstie Alley I met really briefly when I was in the USA, she'd just done some commecials that were aired in Australia (for weightwatchers, I think?  Can't remember), and some guy asked her to do her "FETTUCINI!!!" line, which she happily did.

Ozzy Osbourne I didn't actually meet face to face, he was recording some promo spots for our radio station, so we spoke to him over the phone.  We were all in the studio in the middle of the night due to time zone differences, and had hoped it would only take a few minutes to do, but Ozzy kept screwing up so we had to keep re-recording :)  He was very sweet, and so apologetic each time he got it wrong, but we didn't mind in the slightest because we were cracking our shit up so much.  I think he might have been drunk, we could hear Sharon yelling at him in the background :D

I met Ice-T in the US too, he's the first one I was a little bit star-struck by, but that may have been because I'd had a few drinks :)  He told me he liked my accent.  Apparently Coco was there too, but I didn't see her.

I met Machine Gun Fellatio a few years back when they performed at our University orientation night.  They were even more plastered than we were (which, for a group of Australian uni kids, is really saying something).  I remember a drunken pash with Loveshark, Bryan talking to my friend and I for a really long time and me only having the faintest clue what he was on about, and Pinky insisting over and over again that he was completely sober (while drinking straight from a vodka bottle).  Widow was the only one who didn't seem totally hammered, and by the end of the night, KK's boobs were more famous than the band.

I met one other celebrity who is remaining nameless ;)  we're still in occasional contact, but nobody wants shit to get complicated.  He's actually the reason I don't allow RPF in the comm I own - he was telling me once about how someone showed him some RPF written about him and one of his co-stars, and how it made him feel really squicked.  That's kind of how I see it too - no judgement on anyone who reads/writes/likes it, but to me it's a little bit of a violation.
