This kid who i went to elemetary through part of high school is now a rapper. I hope he does well, and regardless of anything I'll always remember him as he was when we were growing up. The chorus to one of his songs is stuck in my head. Good sign?
It is now the year of my graduation. Word mothertruckers. I'm headed back to Smith this Sunday, right after a short trip to N Y C, and one final goodbye (final being a relative word, I don't really know). I need to find a map of the city and figure some things out, me imagino. My throat has exploded, so to say, and I hope it recuperates soon and I hope I sleep well tonight and tomorrow night because I am beat from New Year's Eve. Always in the 11th hour we manage to put a plan together, and generally speaking it turns out well. Well, this year our last-minuted-ness paid off. Four of us went to this rib joint one town over and had the most amazing and satisfying burritos ever (with mashed potatoes instead of rice. genius.), then we drove to the T and went to Meghan's apartment (near Fenway), bought mixers (and only one bag of chips. I should have known to buy more), and returned to the apartment. A short game of truth or dare Jenga was played, other friends arrived and we drank the night away. Brian taught us an interesting drinking game, that we were playing when the clock struck midnight, and we turned the tv on just long enough to see that the ball had already dropped. So those of us with bottles of Asti hopped outside in the snow to uncork them and celebrate a bit. Steve and Jennie intermittently tried to fight each other, and other general goofiness and good times ensued. The night was well documented as three or four of us had cameras (mine are at my yahoo site already). We did fail, however, in having Domino's deliver us pizza at two or three in the morning. Assholes. Anyway, the next afternoon we went to crepe place and talked and joked around and out stayed our welcome there. It was a grand old time and i only had one momentary meltdown that night when I swore I was becoming a nun, and Brian wouldn't go to bed. Now, however, I think I'm laying off the sauce for a while because we've gone out and drank a whole lot a whole lot this break.
I'm sleepy and I hate this keyboard.
