searching for an adventure
my computer sucks so i haven't been able to update lately. a couple of weekends ago i went down to l.a. to some free photography museum. it was cool the exhibit was about different perceptions of female beauty and how fucked up a lot of it is. there was a video talking about all of the messed up ways the media and fashion shape how females should view themselves and why it is bad if they don't fit that mold. i'm glad my parents raised me to not worry about that stuff and to just be who i am bc i am awesome. a lot of girls get wrapped up and spiral off into some seriously bad habits and spend way too much time comparing themselves to other people which just sucks bc you could be spending that time having fun or eating cupcakes. just sayin.
after that i went over to pasadena to just walk around. i finally had my first real macaron and they were deliciousssssssss. they are magical little cookies. yum! oh and before that i went to Americana at Brand which was nice but it was super crowded bc it was the weekend. they do have a really big H&M there which i was excited about and i bought a shirt for my halloween costume. BUT now i decided i am not dressing up for work on Halloween bc everyone in my store sucks and i don't want to be the only one to dress up so i have scratched the idea. boo on that. but i did buy all of the fun stuff to do a decorate-your-own-cupcake thing at work. i hope people like it! i mean.. who doesn't like free cupcakes and candy? my boss just went on some crazy diet so my goal is to make him break his diet and eat a cupcake. i mean come onnnn it will be halloween. one cupcake won't hurt. hahaha
yesterday i spent the day shopping. mostly on food. i bougt the rest of my mom's bday present and i found a pair of jeans at forever21 on sale for 6 bucks! total score. and then i went to trader joe's and spent a crap load of money on food. i should really get out of the habit of just throwing things into my cart without adding it all up. so now i have kind of depleted my funds again and have nothing to do today. soo i'm going to spend hours looking at books and using free internet at starbucks and getting fun ideas for the break room for the holidays.
