(no subject)
john invited me to go cherry picking today! i wasnt sure if he was going to be bringing his fiance so i didnt ask bc i wanted to be surprised. he did and she was super nice. apparently they are high school sweethearts and have been together for 12 years now. sooooo cute. i didnt even gag at their love story so i guess that means i really like them as a couple. hahah omg she is PINT SIZED!!!! she got out of the car and i almost choked! she is so tiny. i think she is probably not even up to my shoulder. which is such a contrast from John who is like giant and 6ft tall. he threw her on his shoulders so they could get some of the good cherries from the high branches and it was like acrobats. it was like a dad throwing his 3 yr old up onto his shoulders. hahahaha but i had a good time and i think i took home way too many cherries so now i have to eat all of them or it will be a complete waste of nature. so now i can go cherry picking in the spring and apple picking in the fall and in the summer i can go avocado picking? idk. they have peach farm nearby too but i would only eat like 3 peaches and then they would get all bruised and squishy and i would have to throw them away.
they took me to some place called Charlie Browns which is kind of like an old timey trading post with all sorts of random shit with a restaurant attached and 3 different shops attached. i bought some chocolate coconut clusters and apparently what is the best soda (according to john)made with pure cane sugar. it's an old school dr pepper so im excited and hope it doesn't taste like shit. then we continued on to Claim Jumper which is a restaurant attached to the mall and i had a giant country fried steak and the best buttermilk biscuit i have ever had. we were the first ones there so they came hot out of the oven and the way the butter melted off of it almost brought me tears of joy. it was soooo good. paula deen would be really proud. and we ended the day going to D D's cupcakes? which has FoodNetwork fame and i got three cupcakes which i am super excited to eat bc 1) they are cupcakes and who doesnt want that and 2) i need to see if they are better than Velvet cupcakes and it's even more awesome bc its down the street from me which could be a bad thing. but then again jamba juice is right down the street from me and i havent wasted all of my money there. i want to eat all of the goodies i got today but i am still full off of that steak so.
annnd then i came home, read some chelsea handler and took a nap. i know juan has read someof the chelsea books and i decided that i should go ahead and read all of them this month. im starting to see where a tiny portion of his ridiculousness stems from. i think he stole it from her. but she is just so hilarious!
so all in all super fun day. john even paid for my lunch.i asked him 3 times if he didnt want me to give him money and he said no.i am never quite sure what to do in those situations. i think you are supposed to shove money in their direction until they take it. but i really like when other people pay for me.it's like the countless times alan has payed for my meal and i never paid him back. hahahaha but i told him i will pay for him next time or ill buy him random icecream at work to make up for it.
