I really am still around...
As I've posted before, I've moved much of my posting to Facebook. I still prefer LJ as an authoring platform - but Facebook is really good for short "how's it going" sound bites, and for sharing them with a critical mass of people - for better or worse, most of my online friends are on Facebook, and relatively few of them are here (nor do many of them want to be - I've tried...).
If you're on Facebook, feel free to look me up and friend me there. (But don't un-friend me here! :-) I will still be posting here from time to time, mostly the more lengthy items that Facebook isn't as good with, or things where I want more precise control over who gets to read them...).
