36 The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman

One of the things I love about youth ministry is sharing books and movies. Loving Husband and I have begun loaning out graphic novels like Plain Janes, Shazam, and Scott Pilgrim. Played the game Hoopla last night at youth group. One of the youth, in trying to describe the Berlin Wall gave us the clue:

"It's bigger than a fence and smaller than Fascism."

I about peed my pants.

Last week we had our "End of the Year Youth BBQ" at my house. Cornhole, croquet, and burnt burgers--delish.
