Right before I left for Italy I burned 2 albums onto one CD-R from Joe, who has disappeared off the face of the earth but is probably due to his crazy girlfriend. Anyways, they were by Commander Venus and Discount. The former was a reverse-supergroup for the emotional set, and the latter were pop-punk in the best possible way. I discovered those CDs today in an old binder and put them on my computer. It's weird how pretty sub-par albums can be elevated to a much better status due to when you listened to them.
I think the heat is making me lethargic. I get outside and bam, I want to retreat to the safety of central air. The stress of going on vacation then immediately moving is starting to wear on me subconsciously; I can't stop my jaw from clenching and cold sores are sprouting on all the moving parts of my mouth.
The collection of comics I grew in nurtured throughout my adolescence has vanished after several moves, but I need the boxes to hold my newly-acquired collection of old Cerebus the Aardvark issues. I know Dave Sim comes off as a misogynist, but I think he's just straight-up batshit crazy. That acid-fried craziness chose to manifest itself as misogyny, but doesn't take away from the amazing artwork he and Gerhard. Actually, I wouldn't mind if Sim had actually died and Gerhard had to fulfill his wish to finish the rest of the 300 issue run just with backgrounds in otherwise empty comics.
