I don't understand many listener's obsession with "Up the Junction" by Squeeze. Maybe because I wasn't alive when it first came out. However, listening to "Backwater" by the Meat Puppets brings back memories of laying in bed listening to The Edge (later The X) 103.5 FM while they spun Stone Temple Pilots and Smashing Pumpkins ad infinitum.
I am envious of Hypermilers (wiki), especially the real-time MPG readouts that most hybrids have on their dashboard. I don't think I have the nerve to pull a D-FAS maneuver (especially around here), but steady acceleration (as opposed to the national Maryland pastime, jackrabbiting) and using gravity sound like feasible options.
