Zombies don't breathe, therefore they don't drown, so they can walk across the seabed without a problem. I learned this from http://tinyurl.com/lm786n.

Even if they could walk on the seabed, or swim, or hop on a boat, the awareness that zombies have of the world around them is very little. To be able to find San Cristobel (a teeeeny tiny island in the Caribbean) would be like shooting a grain of rice with a blindfold over your eyes.

Loving, loving, loving this. I'm a bit uh-oh! about being safe on an island, tho. Unless the infected need to breathe to stay alive, they won't be able to drown either.
