Alec stands in the lobby of the Inn waiting for Leela and the others to arrive. He's got the Holodeck all set up as an infirmary for the blood transfusion and his sister's up there waiting for her patients.

He's also strengthen the wards and locked the space down so that if on the unlucky chance that Derek escapes, he won't be able to leave.

The whole group arrives through that portal, carrying an unconscious Derek through the door and into the inn. "Alec, I have a towel in that bag on my arm, be very careful when you take it ok? Isly (Mistle) gave me some tranq darts that are pretty much guarenteed to knock down big ass prehistoric beastie."

They move him over to one of the medical beds. "If he so much as twitches his eyelids, stick him. We absolutely do not want him coming out of this before it's done. He could hurt us." Ok, and wasn't THAT the understatement of the year?

Whoever is carrying Derek has hold of a small, compact body of dead weight. He's bleeding. He's fish-pale, and his lips are blue. What little breath he's taking is shallow and nearly undetectable. About the only sign of possible life are the occasional short spasms, similar to those of an animal in its death throes, that wrack his frame.

Alec's twin, Laruna, comes over and starts running her hands lightly over Derek, doing a quick check up to see how stable he is. She starts frowning deeper as she exams him. "If we're going to give him a blood transfusion, we better do it soon."

Alec, on the other hand, nods to Leela and removes the tranq darts carefully, setting them down on the stand near his bed.

Cluelessly, Jun says, "Blood transfusion?" Then, "Where's Eiko? What...how."

Also, she's attached to Derek's hand. If there's a free one. The other kneads what looks like a mess of ribbon. The hand kneading the ribbon appears wet with dark.

"Get her up on the bed, now," Laruna said, echoing Leela. "How far along is she? Is this her first? Don't worry about Derek, he's fine... just out of it."

She goes over to the bed and cleans it off hastily, pulling the blood transfusion devices away and tilting the bed up so it's more like a chair.

"Don't ask me, I'm just the uncle." Jinpei bends his knees, to pick Jun up. He's not handling her like a sack of carrots, but he isn't gentle. He's sweating and blushing. Timing! Once he picks her up, he means to swing her over the table. "Sis, how pregnant are you?"

Jun bites her lip and nods when Jinpei takes her off her feet and deposits her on the bed. She's upset, not just by the pain, but by the hygiene. Leela was only just there and look at what her blood did to Derek. What if it has some bad effect on the baby? He is half-dhampire after all. Oh, look! Jun has now accepted that Derek isn't baseline human. That's a first.

To answer Laruna's question, Jun says, "Twenty--uh--twenty-two weeks. That...is, I was before. The temporal whatever that was. My back hurts."

Early contractions aren't problematic as a rule. But she's on her third one. If these were the normal, pre-delivery practice kind, she'd only expect to go through about five per hour. Additionally, the pain is not a good sign. Jun hopes that her cervix is closed and long. And if Laruna wants to touch Jun's belly, Jun's not going to kick the woman. Though she might take exception to having her cervix checked out. And also? Jun is thinking, 'Poor Derek

Leela hovers in the background, feeling more than helpless at the moment. She's not a medic, not a nurse, hell she's never even had kids before. So all of this is new in a very worrysome way.

She chews on her lower lip, then shakes her head and starts looking for blankets for Jun, oh hey and some for Derek too. If nothing else, she can help get them comfortable. Passing a small strip of dark ribbon on the floor she continues searching for a pillow or something for Jun's head. She wouldn't know razor ribbon if it up and bit her on the ass.

"Should I go and get Eiko? Or go look for someone?" Leela's eyes search her companions. Anything is better than being helpless. Being helpless sucks.
