update

So, I'm sitting around in the music library down on South campus just waiting to go to my voice lesson, so I figured I'd update since I have a ton of time to spare.

Well, things are beginning to fall into place, as far as scheduling and such go, however, I'm still pretty busy and my private lessons all begin this week, so that just adds 3 more classes to my schedule.

I had a gig this past Saturday out at Colgate University. It was a long drive, 3 and half hours, but the traffic wasn't too bad. However, I did get pulled over by the cops on the way up. He claimed I was driving 71 in a 55 but Rob, Bryan, and I both knew it was only an estimate, which was an exaggeration. But, he let me off with a warning, so it was alright.
The gig went pretty well. We went on a little late but oh well. It was easy to work with the crowd cause they were all into it and jumping around and everything, but by the end of the night it kinda got scary. Everyone was drunk and there were a bunch of people on stage. Everything was shaking, mics were falling off the stage. Bryan even fell off the stage and hit his rib on the side, so that sucked. But it was the end of the show and he stuck it out.
After the show, a bunch of girls were trying to get all the guys to stay and they wanted to hook me up with random guys at Colgate because "they're easy". Needless to say, I don't need a one night stand, I'm not a slut like that, and I have an amazing boyfriend that I can come home to. So, Rob promised me that he'd take me home that night, so he drove home while I slept in the car. Ted, Bryan, and Chris stayed behind to do some random hookup type deals, but I think that fell through, I don't even know, nor do I care.
I didn't get back to my room until 6:30 that morning, but I had a check of $225 in my pocket, so it was worth it.

It took my awhile to get to sleep when I got back, but David was there to keep me company so he calmed me down a little, after the crazy night. I slept until about 2:45 that afternoon, and was just lazy the rest of the day.

David has now gotten me addicted to Diablo II. For those of you who don't know, it's a computer game...basically you go around killing things, trading things, completely quests, teaming up with other people...blah di blah blah, but it's a lot of fun. There have been several nights this week where I sat in front of my computer for hours, but it was fun.

Yesterday, I brought a bunch of people back to my house for a BBQ. It was nice to hang out with everyone and have a non-MoCo meal, but being home is just stressful. I don't like going back because all my parents do is annoy me. They just need to let me grow up and do things on my own. Just because I'm a little stressed out, they freak out and have to call me and make sure I'm ok. It's ridiculous and it just stresses me out more. I wish they'd just leave me alone sometimes.

In other news...I have 2 gigs this weekend. Friday @ Banana Joe's starting around 10 and Saturday up in Connecticut at the Taft School.

Saturday is my birthday so I'm bringing some people up to CT with me, hopefully it'll be a fun time.

Hmmm....In only a few days my teenage years will be gone and I will be turning 20...w00t!
