Tweed Daydreams
Portland is having a Tweed Ride tomorrow, which I won't be able to attend; and another tweed ride in April follows, which I do hope to attend.
So I am geeking out on historical costumes, wondering what to wear. I have an itch (that's a wool-related joke) to go as a suffragette... the theme of the April ride is "vice" (as opposed to this month's "virtue"), so arriving in the guise of an uppity woman could be a fun twist on that concept.
What follows is a collection of links largely for my own benefit, but who doesn't like looking at historic photos of suffragettes in action?
