Ah, Nena... The town just seems to be running low on power and supplies these days. It should pass soon, the town is just forcing us to be more frugal until then. [...] Are you okay?

But I don't want to share! I just want to bake pink cupcakes and have fun while doing them. I don't really care that everyone else is without power or can't bathe or something, I just want to bake pink cupcakes!! If Mayfield brought us here, why can't it bring more power or money?!

[ She's all right. She's just having a Strong Moral Dilemma. ]

[Not really about sharing, more like conserving, but she stops herself because ~sharing is caring~ and you're supposed to give too on Christmas instead of just expecting presents but knowing Nena, knowing Nena...]

Hah... Never mind. The town's been showing a lot of signs of instability of late, haven't you noticed? You were just telling me how you wanted to investigate some time back. Isn't this a clue, don't you think? [tries to subtly change the topic, Ciel... pray to God that it'd work, SOMEWHAT.]

[ Ciel you know Nena so well! Just don't mind her, she just sort of glances at the phone with excitement when Ciel drops her point. But, she excitement becomes very very verbal at the point Ciel raises. ]

It is! It is! Maybe it's a sign that Mayfield needs power or that the power source is failing but it's somewhere inside the town! Maybe we did something to break it! We should definitely investigate or try to find more! [ It works! Congratulations Ciel! You can hear Nena state the obvious in a way that seems like she just realized this epiphany right now! ]

[S-success......... BUT SHE WILL MATCH HER ENTHUSIASM!!]

Do you remember the leaked phonecall between Jack and the Mayor? Things are changing, so something is definitely up. If you consider that, where would be the best place to start looking?

[ Watch as Nena rockets to the most illogical, stupid conclusion ever! ]

The bakery! They can't plot evil on an empty stomach! [ ....She sounds so self-assured Ciel just let her have her...

Actually, no, this idea must be shot down instantly because seriously only Nena would think of this. ]

[

the sad part is she's heard worse suggestions in her life.]

They could have ordered take-out with them or went to the diner drive-in, Nena. That's not a good place at all.

[Count it on Ciel to provide a legit reasoning for it too...]

[

How could you possibly out worse Nena's ideas?! And now she'll sound defeated. ]

Well, how am I supposed to know Ciel!? The only places we can look are probably locked from us anyways and something bad can happen if we glance in there like we could turn into christmas trees or something!!

[ It worked. Great reasoning skills Ciel! Only person that can school Phoenix Wright in a court B) ]

[

Magic... or Faith... either or...

Regardless, it's a mystery which by all right, should stay as on...]

I'm glad you spoke to me about it first is all, Nena, so I could tell you why that place wouldn't work. That's true, but if they want to hide something, it's only logical to put it somewhere we would have a hard time accessing. Either way, that call was mysterious like usual... We might be on the completely wrong trail altogether too, have you thought about that? [tbh she'd hypnotize him and convince him that he should be somewhere else... :v; that's... cheating...]

[ Let's go with magic!

This mystery will somehow be solved!! ]

Yeah! It'd be terrible if I wasted my time somewhere! Isn't the Mayor's Office unlocked sometimes?! We should try going there! I don't think we'll be completely wrong about the trail though because that would mean Nena and Ciel are both wrong and with our combined might that'd be impossible! [ That's not cheating, Ciel! That's intelligence! ]

Even if we may not be wrong, that can still be very risky. People who tried infiltrating the Mayor's office before have been killed, rarely does anyone find anything. Even if that happens, the hints are too vague to make out anything concrete right away. Knowing all the risks, do you still want to do that right away? ...What if you miss Christmas as a result? [That was

a rather sharp convo turner, yes.

But she's going to give it a try... '_'a]

We're not going to die, Ciel! We're smarter than that! We know exactly where to look and if it's sealed, it's sealed. We don't exactly have a way of getting into there anyways. Maybe we can use some of your super special abilities to investigate the Christmas trees that are suddenly in our home! [ starting with the small stuff! Woohoo! ]

And I won't miss Christmas because Mayfield really likes Christmas and I'm not going to do this on Christmas Eve! That's stupid! Christmas Eve is for ... [ pause. pause. Long pausing. She's struggling with this concept before coming up with the perfect conclusion: ] something!

Ah, well... The trees were there last year, too. It's like how buildings repair themselves overnight if they've been significantly damaged, it's like a program restoring itself by doing a rollback. Would that really be worth looking more into...? [unsure...]

Relaxing and celebrating with friends and family? [/helpfully... fills in.. the blank for...??]

partytoastess January 12 2012, 10:56:49 UTC
Really? They were there last year and regenerate?! Then they're definitely worth looking into! Take every ornament that's on there and keep them in some place unimportant like someone else's bed and then see if they go anywhere! [ more unsures.... ]

No!! It's for trying to capture Santa Claus. [ that blank was helpful but Nena has her own agenda now ): ]

They'll probably vanish just as inexplicably, Nena. If that happens, won't we be back to the drawing board?

H-huh? But-- what for?
