Yeah I attempted my long run this morning at Wesleyan. My goal was at least 6 miles of actual training.
I eeked out 3.1. Yup folks my "long" run this week was a 5k with 3 miles of warm up and cool down. Not exactly what I was looking for. It doesn't get me any closer to that marathon.
Personally I think I know why it failed
1) It wasn't cool this week like it was last week
2) I didn't start until 9am
3) Unfamiliar territory for runny (Wesleyan=super small hills that I am not accustomed to)
4) No fuel
The mind said yes, the body said yes... no awkward feelings in my legs (Thanks to the massage I got yesterday)... but it still ended poorly. Oh well cant control everything.
In order to accomplish this marathon thing... I am going to need the mind of a warrior.
