It has been 3 1/2 weeks since the race and things have been going well. After the race I took a short break as recovery time and also time to rest my right foot. I am not sure if I bruised it or if it is something more serious but it seems to be holding up at the moment.
I have had the opportunity to go out for a run about 4 times. This week seems to really be my first full week of training and I couldn't be happier. I have missed logging miles. My recent weekly totals are looking a little grim.
The good news to report is that I have ran two recent 5K training runs and have been super consistent. I am trying out a new interval that puts me running more than walking and so far it is a success. I am still averaging the same pace but know that it will speed up once I am used to running 3 minutes/walking 2 minutes.

I am super excited by this data. While my overall pace stayed pretty consistent my running pace is getting much better. Granted I know in the long run it means during run 2 I was walking slower... But I will take all of the improvements I can get!!!
Random Side Note
In the last post, I posted a picture of Sarah and I with the Penguin. Seriously Kids, I met the Penguin and no one left me a nifty comment. I am bummed
