so my new job forbids me from wearing jeans, shorts, and sneakers at work. sucks since i wear jeans and sneakers all the time. literally. so ive been shopping for clothes, something that annoys me to no end.
a couple of things. first, i really hate shoe shopping. i think all shoes look funny, so when they get really outrageous, i can't bring myself to get them. i also cant bring myself to spend lots of money on them. this has been a problem for me my entire life. i used to buy shoes, have a fit and refuse to wear them, and then my dad would have to return them. this trend kept up till i was about 10. then my mom would take me shopping and we'd try on the entire store and more often than not leave without buying anything. ughhhhhh. basically this is the same thing that happens to me today.
so i bought some shoes, but im having second thoughts. probably will return them by the end of the week. blahhhhhh. till then, i guess im wearing my boots - the only nice-ish shoes i have. hope its not hot.
on the plus side, im really digging this low-rise pants trend. i know it's sort of cooling off (people dont like looking at some people's butts, i get it), but i hope it sticks around forever. the reason? no, i dont like showing off my butt...my butt is actually fully covered when i wear these pants. low rise pants actually fit me better than normal pants. the waist fits, and then the crotch isn't like 7 inches too low, which is pretty great. fun times.
sadly, it seems like the hot new trend is super high waist pants. like 70s style. like mom pants. ew.
also no cool, pants are made to fit people who are like 6 feet tall. so i have to get all my pants hemmed. it was fine bec my mom used to do it, but sadly i dont live with her anymore. so...... i gotta find a tailor before i can wear my cool new dress pants for work. booooooo hoooooooooo hoooooooooooo.
i like wedges though. that's cool.
while mervyns has a decent selection of shoes, they often dont have my size and then the brands they carry arent ANYWHERE on the internet, so you're super SOL if you cant find it in the store. ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. annoys me to no end.
