I don't like beer, but I do like winning.

Last night I decided that instead of sitting around being depressed like the previous night, I should do something. I figured Katy and Matt might be up to something since it was Friday. And that is how I ended up at After Hours, central WV's hottest night spot!

Our party consisted of me, Katy, Matt, Morgan, Jon, and David Sims, attorney at law. (For college friends who may not know, Katy is my sister, Matt is my brother-in-law, Morgan and Jon are friends from high school, and David Sims, attorney at law, is Morgan's former stepfather, whose presence made the evening all the more bizarre.) We sat at a table by the dance floor, where two women were dancing by themselves. One was skinny and had on a white midriff top and one of those thongs pulled up above her jeans. She was really working it. The other was sporting a black hat, which she kept pulled down over her eyes. She held onto the brim as she slid around the dance floor like some kind of terrible Elkins Fosse. She was at least forty.

It was very important to Katy that everyone dance, so we did. But I don't really like dancing at places like that because I don't know how. We all danced, even David Sims, attorney at law, to Livin' on a Prayer, requested and dedicated to me by drunk Katy and Morgan, who thought this was just the most clever thing to do. Oh, and then we won a round of free beer during the "alcohol toast." This was something that everyone else seemed to be familiar with. Some guy came out and pointed at the tables surrounding the dance floor one by one, and the people at the tables had to scream and the loudest table won. We were the loudest table. I did my part, by standing on the bench and waving my arms and shouting, and then I ordered a coke.

Anyway, I think it's getting to be time for Christmas Eve dinner. I hope my parents have stopped fighting, or this could be awkward.

P.S. Thanks to Adam, for listening to me when I was blue the night before.

Wootie Poochie: could you believe i used to spike my hair, my blue hair?
MissAmieSunshine: YES because my hair was half red, HALF!
MissAmieSunshine: kool-aid
Wootie Poochie: likewise
MissAmieSunshine: lol, I think we just bonded
