[Drabble] Oolong tea
This is my second go at one of these! :D alissa gave me this pic (the one on the right!)
Title: Oolong tea

“You know what make this even better?” Subaru says wistfully when they’re almost done eating. “Alcohol!”
Maru laughs. “You were saying you wanted to cut back on drinking! You said something about detoxing!”
Subaru looks at him as if Maru has betrayed him in the most guileless of ways. “You can’t detox on holiday! Holiday is all about retoxing!”
Maru giggles. “But all this pure country air~! It’ll be cleaning your lungs out, against your will!”
Subaru looks stricken. “Quick! Cigarettes! I don’t want to be clean!”
Maru doesn’t think there’s any danger of that happening to Subaru, but he says “Don’t worry! I don’t have any cigarettes, but I can suggest some ways of staying dirty!” He leans in and whispers in Subaru’s ear theatrically, and Subaru giggles like a very naughty schoolgirl.
After dinner, when Maru has finished off all the bits Subaru left on the side of his dish, Subaru cheerfully relaxes into his lap like a spoilt cat that Maru is powerless to resist petting.
“You know Ryuhei,” says Subaru, looking up at him with his head on Maru’s thigh. “I don’t need to drink when I’m with you, you get me just as hyper.”
Maru grins. He always likes it when Subaru calls him by his first name. “Well in that case, you should come out with me, shouldn’t you? If you’re going to try and detox,” he says lightly. “Let’s get crazy on oolong tea!”
Subaru laughs like he already is, and doesn’t even stop when Maru splashes him with cold tea when gesticulating too wildly with his glass.
