Question for the cook-y types out there

While cooking dinner this evening,  I wondered to myself if I was strange in this regard or not.   I know several folks who do this,  but classifying them as Odd Birds wouldn't be far off.

When you cook bacon,   what do you do with the drippings / grease?   Does it go in the garbage,  or does it get poured in a jar and saved in the fridge for later use?

Dinner this evening is something resembling a pasta primavera,  penne with steamed Michigan asparagus and onions and mushrooms sauteed in bacon grease (topped with lots of GOOD grated parm)   So much tastier than olive oil,  in my book.
