Hopefully in the next day or so I'll be picking up a used cage from Craigslist. :D I'm pretty stoked. It's not an EFC, but I think it's pretty much perfect for what I need and want (at least without going and building one myself somehow).

The last time I posted it was to tell you guys about Dizzy's little heart; I am ecstatic to report to you all that after two weeks on antibiotics, the heart arrhythmia is TOTALLY GONE.  The vet said she'd never seen anything like it - going on the meds was a long shot, but Dizzy's heart sounds completely regular now.  My little bean is completely ( Read more... )

I have "everyone's favorite cage" and I need new wheels. If at all possible I'd like bigger sturdier wheels, not the plastic ones that it came with that have recently broken. Ideas?

I'd like to get a new cage for my GCC, Dizzy.  The one I've got is good and works well, but I'd really like to get one that has its own wheeled base and a play structure on top.  I was wondering what has worked well for people for small conures?  I'm looking at this one currently, but it doesn't have any user reviews and I'm really bad at guaging ( Read more... )

A few months ago I posted about finding a shorter cage for Zazu, who has started to suffer seizure-like episodes. I was concerned that his 2' high cage was dangerous in case he had a seizure while perched near the top.

Is anyone here familiar with the Pak-o-bird travel carriers? I'm looking for a backpack style carrier for Kappa (dusky conure, her size is between a GCC and a sun) that she can see out of so that I can take her for walks/hikes/bike rides with me.
