Regarding my budgie's mental health..
So I finally got my budgie back 3-4 days ago from my cousin... the retrieval got delayed because of various trips I had to take till now. However, I am worried about his mental health... He just keeps running back and forth across one side of cage... It reminds me of prison inmates, how they would pace the jail if kept inside too long. Am I over-reacting or what? He was kept inside all the time at my cousins place in their balcony.
He has forgotten whatever training progress we had made and now I am having to train him again( he is my rescue budgie and seems like has had no training before). I have also kept the cage door open so that he may fly out if he wants to but he hasn't yet. Also he is pooping very little.
Should I get him another budgie company? I was delaying it because I wanted him to atleast start perching on my hand/paintbrush so that I could put him back in the cage for night.
Any suggestions? Thanks...
