Slapstick Comes Home

According to Freda Madden, in an e-mail I have received today titled "I Dinghy", "parasitic foci, interval accurate, to whiskey motorized adventurer filmmaker cellulose to artsy create seriousness conservatively consensus countryside." Thanks, Freda! Really starting to wonder whether Charles B Horn might have hit the nail on the head here.

Really weird 'news' report on BBC News 24 just now about "how the science-ficiton of Doctor Who is rapidly becoming science fact" (transl. New series starts in a week and we haven't played the trailers enough, so we're doing this every news bulletin to compensate). They showed a clip from that most scientifically sound of stories, The Claws of Axos, but the caption at the bottom of the screen labelled it as 'The Vampire From Space', its original working title. This doesn't bother me per se, but it does strike me as strange that it would take more research to get it wrong like that than it would to get it right, which could be achieved by painstakingly looking at the DVD cover.

Really terrific dream last night where I went on holiday with Mick and Faisal. There was loads of stuff in it, including the destruction of my glasses by sonic boom and the world's best recorder recital, but the high point was surely Mick grumbling angrily as he cleaned no less than fifty-four of Faisal's porn magazines out of the house. Comedy gold, t'was. Now to create something exactly as funny as that for Sarah...

dreams, hoaxes, work, surrealist spam, oh god it's that cunt faisal, bbc, abominations of journalism, doctor who, links, fortean times, mick
