New Spiritualized Album Out Soon, By The Way. Return To Form? I Do Hope So

Am I the only person who misses the good old fundamentalist Christians of yesteryear? Now that they're trying to get into mainstream politics, there's so little of this sort of thing (last comment) around.

The feeling I had at the end of the movie says it all for me: Replace ALIENS with DEMONS and the X-Files suddenly becomes prophetic to a ( Read more... )

Pah. That manner of wank is currently running rampant here in Bristol. Ask pink_sweater_uk to tell you about Milwood and the Muppets of Sion one day.

Or the time when someone was going around tearing down posters for the local Vampire: The Masquerade group because it was 'satanic'. (Which is the worst mispelling of 'toss' I've ever seen, but still...)

I actually called a street fulminator (against homosexuality, natch) a cunt to his face once. I was only young, I didn't know how much of a cunt they really could be.

Oh my giddy aunt, Millwood. What a tosser. Not only a selfish, hypocritical git (this guy took months of paid sick leave, grinning like a shit-eater, for supposed "stress"-related stomach trouble, while folks who'd had major heart surgery and minor brain haemorrhages were back on duty in less time - and then brow-beat juniors into taking on his over-sized work-load when he finally came back), but was also the arsehole who tore down those Vampire posters mentioned above ( ... )

A segment of the Christian community believes, as I do, that the government could be planning a UFO HOAX to deceive the whole world and unify it under the Antichrist

O_O

hahahaha! Oh, I do LOVE them.

I was listening to Let It Come Down recently and thought it was good - inevitably a bit too bombastic in places, but I'd be happy with a new album that has that sort of emotional heft this time. Amazing Grace, on the other hand, remains shit.

You MUST love people who hate this much.

I loved this review of Harry Potter - rated as "Morally Offensive":

"...Harry and all the friends in his imaginary world are witches and wizards. They try to do good things and defeat evil, but in reality, there is no such thing as a good witch or wizard. People who use witchcraft in the real world are not getting their power (if any) from God. The Bible tells us that any power that doesn't come from God is evil. So, for our own protection, God tells us not to do these things"

Five minutes in the reviewer's "reality" was five minutes too long.
