Fable 2 is PRO LGBT!!
Against my anti microsoft stance I bought an Xbox with C, primarily for the game Fable 2 an RPG set in the mythical world of Albion, where you fight various monsters, trade, and get married or have sex with men and women!. I was a fan of Fable 1 and it had a similar pro gay and Bisexual stance I miss out Lesbian and Transgender because in the first game you were male and being transgendered was not in it but not Fable2.
You may play as a man or woman, you may have sex with your male and female spouse, or other people who you are not married too, you may have multiple partners and sleep with them at the same time if you can convince them you may cross dress or if you wish as a female character have a beard and later in the game change sex if you wish. make no mistake this is no glitch in the game or cheat you may look at other characters in the games stats where it will tell you there preffered sex which states clearly and doesnt dance around the terms, a person who your character fancies will have in their stats Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual!!.
Maybe some of the game has simplified the issue, maybe not but in this mythical world there is obviously alot of tolerance, no hate crimes, and same sex marriage is treated as normal neither do the LGB characters stand out as abnormal in the game they are like in real life normal people the fact their sexuality is stated is merely for easy game play. You may also have unprotected or protected sex and buy condoms which are clearly condoms and states that they are and if you have unprotected sex enough times with either sex as either sex you get an STD.
In an industry dominated by slim and sexy heroines or ridiculesly butch heros and a very heteronormative attitude in games its refreshing to find a game where yes the characters can be heroic and LGBT.
So yay for Fable a game pitched at the 15+ age range for doing something to further the cause.
