Hi. I'm not dead.
I wrote a message to someone on Livejournal who may hate me. I did some things a few years ago that I'm not proud of. That's all I can say.
I'm in the middle of California. Some trucker from Lousiana helped me back my rig into a tight spot, and we sat around and BS'd for a bit. I'm lucky I found a place to park at all.
I met a girl from Everett. She's real nice, and I think I have an incentive to get a local job in the Puget Sound. No, that's not right. She's not the only reason I'd move back there. When my son moves back to Washington I'll need to be able to spend more time with him. But she's my incentive for moving earlier than I planned.
Strange, I said "moving," as if I'm changing addresses. I've been living in my truck for the past three months, so it's almost like moving. I'll get a local route, either with Schneider or anyone who'll take a new driver with less than a year of experience. Local routes pay by the hour, and some of them start at fifteen bucks, and they can get me home almost every night and on weekends. I love driving, but I really need to get home more often.
If things in my personal life don't pan out, I can always go over the road again.
Oh, and I saw a lot lizard (prostitute) for the first time tonight. She was wandering around the parking lot, then hopped in someone's truck. About an hour later, she resumed her walk around the lot. Pretty gross.
