My work never closes for anything, but today they are closing at 2:30, meaning I don't have to go in to work! Best Christmas present ever!
It helps make up for last night for me. I got trapped in Taco Bell's drive thru. It took 40 minutes and 12 people to get me free, and I never even got any food. Then I got home to find that even though they had plowed, my spot had completely drifted over, it was thigh deep. So I spent another 40 minutes shoveling so I could park in my darn stall. I was drenched to the bone and my entire untouched iced venti latte spilled on my drivers seat, so I was soaked with that too. It was quite a night. I'm most definitely grateful for today. :)
Also, I molotov cocktail-ed that Taco Bell as I was finally escaping it's treacherous parking lot, so that really helped me feel better about life. Okay, so, not really, but I did get into dry, warm pajamas when I finally got home, and I found a can of noodle soup which lifted my spirits.
Today I can play with the kittens, nap, and wrap Christmas gifts. Hooray Snow Day!
Sings *Welcome Snow Day, come this way! Fah who foraze! Dah who doraze! Welcome Snow Day! Bring your cheer! Cheer to all who's far and near!* :)
All my friends have off today too. AT&T is closed, the malls are closed, everything is closed...EXCEPT Dick's Sporting Goods, who are apparently the Grinch of snow days. So my poor lil' bro Parker is stuck working with no lunch, save for the candy bar vending machine. :( Mom or I would bring him food, but we're both drifted in up to our waists at our respective apartment complexes (And we live on opposite sides of the city. All of Appleton is snowed in but good). Neither of us can get out or go anywhere.
Tomorrow they're predicting a windchill of -25 degrees. Hello Winter, I see what you're doing there.
