Well, since most everyone in my life believes that 'posting it on Facebook' is tantamount to EVERY OTHER FORM OF COMMUNICATION, I had to capitulate and start going on. I'm not a huge fan, but I scroll through once a day.
I enjoyed Dragon Tattoo, but GWPWF and GWKTHN kind-of went off the rails a bit.
And OMG SOCIAL NETWORK. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is, honestly, my favorite movie. I knew it was going to be good - I mean, Sorkin wrote it and Fincher directed; there was no way it wasn't going to be a good film, objectively. But it took my heart and ripped it out of my chest and then tap-danced on it a little bit. It's been over a year and every time I watch it, I still get all verklempt.
Plus the structure is amazing and the performances (Andrew Garfield will KILL you the first time you see it, but every subsequent time, you'll marvel (absolutely MARVEL) at what Jesse Eisenberg does. Jesus.) are stellar and the music, oh my God, the music.
It's just...the whole thing is wonderful. Just absolutely gorgeous.
I honestly don't get the fascination with Facebook as opposed to other social sites/forms of communication - it's not that good. And sometimes when people ask for the link to my facebook account and I say I don't have one, they look at me as though I have two heads. I'm happy with LJ and email.
I love Jesse Eisenberg. I loved him in Zombieland.
I shall have to pick up the Social Network when next it's on sale, methinks!
Btw, I did a post with a very short summary on the last couple of years on my LJ. It's locked, but you can see it ♥ Feel free to read if you're curious, but tis fine if you're not.
